4 Months

Madi is 4 months old today! As of a week ago she weighed 14 lbs 12 oz and was 24 1/2 inches long.  She's growing like crazy!  We'll get her "official" 4 month stats at her check up next week.  Next week is going to be crazy around here.  Madi has 4 appointments...Yes I said 4!  Her normal PT appointment, her 4 month check up (with shots), her neurology follow up and an ultrasound of her hips.  The ultrasound is just to rule out hip dysplasia.  There is a very small percentage (like under 5%) of kids with torticollis that will also develop hip dysplasia.  She has no symptoms of it at all and her doc is very certain she doesn't have it but we're getting her checked out just to be 100% certain.  I am nervous about her neuro appointment though and have lost some sleep over it.  I know she's doing amazingly well I'm just not sure what to expect from the appointment.  Are they going to want to do further testing on her before we wean her off the meds? Will that testing involve another hospital stay?  These are questions I keep running over and over in my head.  I'm just looking forward to the day when the only meds she's on is a multi vitamin and we no longer need physical therapy.  I know that day is coming and I have to be patient.  And to top off that busy week of appointments, Aidan's preschool is closed all week for in service. Everything has a way of happening at once around here and that's just fine.  We'll get though it just fine.
