Do you ever...

...get sick of hearing good news about Madi?  Yeah me neither! We had an inpromptu PT appointment this morning.  We were scheduled for this afternoon but the therapist called at 8:30 and asked if we could be there in 10 minutes instead.  I was a little annoyed because we were all still in our jammies and eating our breakfast but I rounded up the troops and got everyone loaded in the car.  We weren't looking our best but we got there in time :)

We worked with the supervisor today because she hadn't been able to see Madi in over a week (we have a rotation of different therapists).  Last time we saw her she was concerned with Madi's lack of arm strength.  She was refusing to bare weight on her arms.  This was concerning because she needs to gain that strength so we can work on hand-eye coordination.  Coordination is going to be HUGE for her because as I've mentioned before the part of her brain mostly affected is the part controlling coordination.  So they gave us some activities and stretches to work on as they normally would when we meet a roadblock.  We worked and worked and worked on it at home.  I could see the difference but wasn't too excited because I wasn't sure it was enough of a difference yet to get excited about.

Today at the appointment our therapist could not get over how much Madi had improved in such a short amount of time.  She's still got some work ahead of her but she's progressing in the right direction.  Is there anything this girl can't do?!? She's amazing in our eyes.

The therapist was very pleased and said before we know it we'll just be stopping by to say hi rather than in for appointments.  I sure hope she's right!

Sitting up and holding her noogin straight
