Madi had her follow up appointment with neurology last week. To say they were impressed with her progress would be an understatement! Cognitively she's at least a 15 month old. Not too shabby for 10.5 months! She was really showing off that day and the doctors loved every minute of it. She waved, played peek a boo, and blew kisses at them. They were eating it up! The only issue they noticed was her crawling movements are asymmetric which we already knew and have been addressing with physical therapy. They said they can't predict her future with certainty but they imagine she's got as bright of a future as any other baby her age. They were so pleased with her that they officially discharged her as a pediatric neurology patient! They said we'd only need to go back to see them if something changes and they don't expect that to be the case.
I know I've said it before but that little girl is amazing! She's smart, strong, determined and the cutest little lady I've ever seen. Very proud to be her mom!
