We have managed to sneak in a few hours of outside time when the weather allows. It's been good for me and the kids. It's hard being cooped up in a house all day.
Madi recently had to go back to physical therapy. The issue now is that her right side of the body is weaker than her left. This is from the stroke she had. She has to wear a brace while we are working on her strength training. The good news is that we were told this is a pretty easy fix. She's been going to therapy for 1 1/2 weeks now and is already making progress. She goes back to the neurologist next Thursday for a follow up appointment. We had originally thought this could be our last appointment with them but now that we are back at therapy we think they may want to follow her for a little bit longer which is fine by us. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Plus it's no big deal to have her get checked out once every 6 months by them. Other than that she's doing great. She's a very fast crawler and can climb on anything. This is making her therapy challenging for Mommy but we are managing.
Aidan is getting more intelligent by the day. He's so curious about everything and asks very interesting questions. I swear he's going to be some type of scientist one day. We had a nasty storm come through this morning and he was very curious about it. At first he was a little uneasy because it was really loud, especially when it was hailing but then he started in with all of his questions. Normally standing in front of a window during a storm is a bad idea but I felt confident he was safe and allowed him to do it so he could observe what was happening outside. He even used binoculars to take a look. I got a handful of hail of the deck and let him feel it and take a closer look. He loved learning about the weather today.
